Only a dimension away, Aronia coexisted parallel to Earth. When the planets were formed, many of the same creatures evolved, only Aronia flourished beyond Earth. Balance was achieved, speices were not destroyed. When humans first evolved on Aronia, many perished and their numbers were few. Most were enslaved or turned, vampires and werewolves preferred these creatures for their experiments and companions. However their mortality proved troublesome and humans were changed into vampires and werewolves themselves. In a short time, humans became extinct. For many millenia Aronia kept peace. Each continent communicated and interacted with eachother, still keeping their own survival within their means.

As the planet Earth died from the plauge of humanity, many found gateways to another dimension through their own minds or the minds of others, another planet which was similar to their own. Not able to comprehend that they were in fact still on Earth, most humans crossed over with fear and apprehension to any other creatures. In doing so, the existing kingdoms were flooded with the agressive human race. The majority of humans arrived on the continent Luestrife, which held many outlaws and criminals. Adapting to the environment easily, there was little disruption.

However, on the continents Endymion and Valyssop, the humans caused a disturbance. Sending more humans to Valyssop through an unwanted approval from Vorhen, Queen Gwenefiere had subsided the wave of humans.

A large majority of the humans who had crossed over died within the first seasonal cycle. If they had not died, they were transformed into other creatures. It had seemed that balance had restored itself as it had when humans first evolved. Their numbers remained steady until the present time, two decades later.

All currency on Aronia is uniform, which is known as 'leaves.' They are actually leaves from the night rose which have been dipped in gold and designed with silver. To test for its authenticity, one must simply bite it gently and the coin will 'bleed.' The liquid which comes out is mixed with the sap of the leaf and gold.
